Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Van Vicker has sued fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, for alleged defamation, seeking GH¢10 million in damages.
The suit, filed at the High Court in Accra, stems from a social media video in which Lil Win allegedly accused Van Vicker of dishonesty and unprofessional conduct and suggested that he could no longer work in the Kumawood film industry.
The video, reportedly circulated on TikTok and Facebook in August 2026, carried the headline: “LIL WIN BANS VAN VICKER FROM ACTING IN KUMASI!”
In his statement of claim, Van Vicker argues that the publication damaged his professional reputation, exposed him to public ridicule and raised questions about his reliability among colleagues and industry players.
He maintains that he has conducted himself professionally as an actor, producer and director and denies the allegations against him.
The actor is asking the court to declare the statements defamatory and award him GH¢10 million in exemplary damages, alongside general damages for libel and legal costs.
He is also seeking an order compelling Lil Win to retract the alleged statements and issue a public apology on news platforms with the same prominence as the original publication.
The writ of summons requires Lil Win to enter an appearance within eight days of being served. Failure to do so could result in judgment being entered against him in his absence.
The allegations are yet to be determined by the court.
