Barcelona have reportedly been given details of the estimated transfer fee and salary demands that would be involved in a future move for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
According to Spanish journalist Juan Jesus, Haaland’s representatives have made contact with Barcelona president Joan Laporta and communicated their financial expectations for a potential future transfer.
The report does not indicate that Haaland is about to leave Manchester City. Instead, it suggests his representatives are laying the groundwork for a possible move in the future, with 2027 or 2028 identified as a potential timeframe.
The approach has reportedly been compared with the process involving Spanish midfielder Rodri, whose representatives are said to have communicated future financial terms to clubs before his eventual move from Manchester City to Barcelona.
Haaland renewed his Manchester City contract in 2025 and is tied to the club until 2034, meaning any potential transfer would require negotiations between the clubs. Recent reports have also indicated that he does not currently have an active release clause in his contract.
Barcelona have reportedly been tracking Haaland for several years as they consider their long-term options in attack, but there is no confirmed agreement or imminent transfer between the player and the Catalan club.
