Ghanaian passport holders can now travel to Maldives, Zambia and Antigua and Barbuda without obtaining a visa in advance, under Ghana’s visa-waiver arrangements with the three countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ official passport portal currently lists all three countries among destinations accessible to holders of Ghanaian ordinary passports without a visa.
Ghanaian travellers can stay for up to 30 days in the Maldives and Zambia, while the current Ministry listing provides for a stay of up to 60 days in Antigua and Barbuda.
The arrangements form part of government’s efforts to expand visa-free travel opportunities for Ghanaian passport holders.

In April, Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa announced that Cabinet had approved visa-waiver agreements with the three countries, covering ordinary, service and diplomatic passport holders. At the time, he said the agreements would allow visits of up to 30 days per trip, subject to the necessary ratification and implementation processes.
The latest information on the Ministry’s official passport portal confirms the three countries as visa-free destinations for Ghanaian ordinary passport holders.
Ghanaian travellers are, however, advised to check the latest entry requirements with the relevant embassy or immigration authority before travelling, as visa-free access does not necessarily remove other entry conditions.
