BLACKPINK member LISA has won Best Pop at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards for her solo single ‘Dream’ featuring Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi. The award was the first presented at the ceremony, held on Sunday, September 27, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The win makes LISA the first Asian solo artist to receive the Best Pop award at the VMAs. She beat nominees including Ariana Grande, Charli xcx, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift. The victory is her fourth VMA as a solo artist, following three previous wins in the Best K-Pop category.
LISA became emotional while accepting the award and thanked MTV, her collaborators and her fans, known as Lilies, for their support. She also performed her new song ‘SaWaDiKa’ during the ceremony.
